A Touch of Whimsy: Paintings by Susan Fitzgerald

fsg turtle pair 600 jul 7 – aug 30
Susan Fitzgerald has pursued art for more than thirty years, in a variety of creative disciplines, with acrylic and pencil being her favorite media. Her love of art started early, at the Carnegie Mellon Museum’s arts education program. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, she studied at Edinboro State College before moving to Florida to begin her career in pharmaceutical sales. Her art is heavily influenced by her love of nature and the American West. She describes her style as traditional, with a contemporary twist and a slightly edgier feel. Fitzgerald’s work has been featured in solo and group gallery shows, and is in many personal and corporate collections in Florida as well as the western part of the country. She has been a working artist at First Street Gallery for almost a year, infusing her art with a touch of whimsy and the beach.
Reception Friday, July 8, 7–9 p.m. First Street Gallery, 216-B First St., Neptune Beach, 241-6928.
