An Evening With Bardor Tulku Rinpoche

March 9, 2018@7:00 pm-8:30 pm

Tibetan Buddhist study groups across Florida are delighted to present Venerable Bardor Tulku Rinpoche for his first teaching in Jacksonville since March 2007. Rinpoche will speak about “Healing Ourselves and the World with Compassion” at 7 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum, 101 W. 1st Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206. The minimum suggested donation is $20 per person, cash preferred. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited to 300 people.

Bardor Rinpoche—a joyful, wise and respected teacher, meditation master and lineage holder—is well able to speak to the spiritual concerns of our day. His warm teaching style will ensure that audience members receive insights into the benefits of the practice of compassion for themselves and for others. In Tibetan Buddhism, “compassion” is defined as the desire to relieve suffering.

A published author and father of three, Rinpoche is a world-travelled teacher. He was born in 1949 in Kham, East Tibet. He left Tibet at the age of six to serve his teacher, His Holiness the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa, who recognized Rinpoche as the third incarnation of Terchen Barway Dorje, a treasure text revealer from the late 19th-early 20th century.

Rinpoche helped to build Karma Triyana Dharmachakra monastery in Woodstock, New York. With the blessings of the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, Rinpoche also created the Raktrul Foundation and is nearing completion of Kunzang Palchen Ling (KPL) in Red Hook, New York. Rinpoche now devotes his time to offering Dharma teachings from all traditions of Tibetan Buddhism at KPL.

More information about Rinpoche and his activities is available at:

As is traditional, Rinpoche will teach in Tibetan. Lama Yeshe Gyamtso, who has been translating for Tibetan masters for over 25 years, will interpret Rinpoche’s remarks.

Rinpoche will be available for interviews with members of the press while he is here. For more information, please call 904-993-7466.

Rinpoche’s visit is being organized by Palchen Study Group – Jacksonville with assistance from members of other Palchen Study Groups throughout Florida.
