Beautifully Broken Art Exhibition

October 27, 2017@5:00 pm-8:00 pm

“Beautifully Broken” is an exhibition showcasing three artists’ interpretations of our broken pieces and celebrates inner strength. The artists’ encourage the audience to observe the beauty of imperfection, to consider the psychological joy when chaos takes on meaningful form, to feel recovery from devastation, and to experience the wholeness that can be created from mended parts.

The traditional Japanese art of Kintsugi (golden joinery), in which broken pottery is repaired with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum is an inspiration to these artists, as it honors the value of the broken parts, enhancing them in the mending process, and transforming the original piece into an even more beautiful form. Relating all this as metaphor to the human condition is powerful.

“Beautifully Broken” will showcase new art such as original paintings, sculptural ceramics, and hand crafted silver/gold jewelry. 5% of total sales of the entire exhibition from October 27th thru December 5th will go to Hope to Help Foundation. We are honored to support Hope to Help and welcome their team during this special collab exhibition.  Representatives from Hope to Help will be in attendance of the reception and would love to share information with you.

All are invited. Refreshments will be served.

Opening Reception: October 27 from 5-8 PM at Arts on Granada in Ormond Beach.
