Moliere Dimanche has written and illustrated a timely book Called It Takes a Criminal to Know One: How the Inspector General and I are One and the Same, about the Florida prison system. After spending 7 years behind bars, 3 in confinement, he has combined art, politics and criminal justice to put a spotlight on what his experiences were on the “inside.” Released less than a year ago, Dimanche has had 2 successful shows of his artwork, one at DOS Coffee and Wine, and one at the Alliance Francais in Jacksonville. He has been interviewed on NPR, launched a successful tee shirt line using his incredible artwork, and has a new show planned for April 9th at City Bistro in Saint Augustine to showcase his new art work and to do a book signing and a talk about his experiences.
