North Florida Land Trust’s Adopt-A-Highway Clean-Up on Big Talbot Island

November 4, 2017@9:00 am-12:00 pm

North Florida Land Trust is gathering volunteers to clean-up a stretch of road on Big Talbot Island. On Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the group will clean up the road along Heckscher Dr./A1A between Houston Ave. and the Nassau Sound Bridge. Volunteers can sign up at http://www.northfloridalandtrust.org/calendarofevents/. Following the clean-up, volunteers will be served lunch at NFLT’s Milam House.

NFLT adopted the three-mile segment of road on Big Talbot through the Florida Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway Litter Removal Program. Each quarter, they assemble a group of volunteers to pick up trash to prevent it from entering state parks and waterways.
