Opening Reception for exhibit “and someone get lost along the way”

October 1, 2017@2:00 pm-5:00 pm

Free

Barbara Colaciello of BABS’LAB and Hope McMath of YELLOW HOUSE in partnership with The CoRK Arts District invite you to the Opening Reception of “and someone gets lost along the way”, an exhibit inspired by the poetic text from CHALK, a play written by nationally known poet and radio host AL LETSON.

Opening Reception Sunday, October 1, 2pm – 5pm at CoRK North

ABOUT
Over 15 regional artists created work inspired by poetic text from CHALK, a play that illustrates the cycle of aggression; how it trickles down from the world at large, to a small community and its children. Chalk reveals the inner voices of kids who are trapped in a society where bullying is tolerated in schools and on social media.

This exhibit will be one component of an outreach program orchestrated by Barbara Colaciello to bring awareness to bullying through community engagement with the arts. During the month of October patrons can view the exhibit and experience theatrical pieces written by LETSON performed at BABS’LAB.
