Edmund Troy at Southlight Gallery – May Art Walk
May 6@5:00 pm-8:00 pm
Free

This May, Southlight will be welcoming our next Guest Artist, Edmund Troy, a graduate of the University of North Florida and Museum Educator at MOCA Jax. Recently, Troy has been developing his personal artistic style that features vibrant and playful manifestations of the figure.
Working in Acrylic and Watercolor, Troy builds glazes of color over detailed drawings. The figure serves as his primary subject; through exaggeration and repetition, he blends the surreal with the unsettling. By exploring inwardness and the tension between vulnerability and confrontation, Troy uses the body as, “a site of excavation”.
