Art and Love: Cuban Art Auction Supporting Kids with Cancer

Thursday, February 27

Join Carmen & Rey’s Cancer Kids at the Haskell building for an evening of Cuban art in support of this non-governmental organization that has helped change the lives of kids with cancer in Cuba for more than thirty-one years. Beginning in 2008, the British and U.S. Embassies in Havana held annual art auctions to support the work of Carmen & Rey’s Cancer Kids. However, as the US Embassy scaled back personnel in 2017, these auctions have not been possible. So in February 2020, the art auction is coming to you. Come bid on works from world-renowned artists such as Pedro Pablo Oliva (shown left), Alicia de la Campa, Alan Manuel Gonzalez, and José Vincench.

6 – 10 p.m. Haskell, 111 Riverside Ave. For more information, join the mailing list by visiting www.artandloveinaction.com.
