The Sanctuary on 8th Street is excited to hold its annual Avondale 5K Classic as it celebrates its 30th year as an organization. Funds raised through the event will support the Sanctuary’s afterschool and summer programs serving at-hope youth in Jacksonville. This family-friendly event will feature a one-mile fun run at 8 a.m., followed by the 5K at 8:30 a.m. The race will begin and end at the Shoppes of Avondale on St. Johns Avenue and features a beautiful route through the historic neighborhood. Stick around after the run for fun family activities, music, food, and shopping.
