Face Forward

Face Forward 600sept. 24
oct 1 – dec 28
In a bold endeavor, the Jacksonville International Airport Arts Commission has asked thirty artists to each create a self-portrait for an exhibition in the airport’s Haskell Gallery.
Thirty of the region’s most talented and diverse artists have agreed to participate, exposing themselves in a huge range of mediums and styles. Those participating include photographers, sculptors, painters and mixed media artists. Each self-portrait will be accompanied by an actual photo of the artist, along with a brief statement giving insight into the work, and a biography.
The exhibition’s intent is to show travelers and visitors the depth and breadth of the region’s arts community. All participating artists are from the regions served by the Jacksonville International Airport. They are a fascinating group of well-established, high profile artists, new fresh faces of emerging artists, and everything in-between.
One-Night-Only Preview, Thurs., Sept. 24, 5–9 p.m. at CoRK Studios, 2689 Rosselle Street.
JAX Airport, Haskell Gallery, JAX Central Courtyard, 2400 Yankee Clipper Drive, 741-3546.
