In addition to their concert series, Friday Musicale serves the community through its annual scholarship competition, the Outstanding Young Pianists Competition, and master classes/educational programs presented in local schools. This year, the Outstanding Young Pianists Competition for grades 5 – 12 takes place on Monday, December 5.
On Friday, January 13, Florida Musicale presents Philadelphia’s Jasper String Quartet, winners of the prestigious CMA Cleveland Quartet Award and the Professional Quartet in Residence at Temple University’s Center for Gifted Young Musicians. “The Jaspers … match their sounds perfectly, as if each swelling chord were coming out of a single, impossibly well-tuned organ, instead of four distinct instruments.” (New Haven Advocate). Concerts at 11 a.m. & 7:30 p.m.
