An epiphany of nature experienced by meandering through a natural maritime hammock to a high bluff, then embracing salt-cured, gnarly, boney skeletons of long-forgotten, uprooted, horizontal live oak and cedar towers, a veritable nexus of Spanish, British and French provenance eschewed and juxtaposed in long-ago names – Old Kings, Blackrock, Nassau, Kingsley, Ribault … George, Talbot and Amelia.
