Cookbooks aren’t so much about what’s for dinner as they are about a world of abundant and creative choices.
When I don’t know what to do or my inspiration has run dry, I seek new discoveries in my cookbooks. From them, I know that I can create a delectable food palette that is not only pleasing to the eye, but to all the senses as well.
With a favorite knife in hand, I feel I can be as creative as with a paintbrush. Slicing, sautéing, scraping, shredding, stirring and simmering are all actions that can switch your conscious mind into artistic autopilot. The creative mind and spirit take over and you aren’t even aware of it. So many culinary canvases to create and consume, so little time.
