R Middleton Abstract Paintings

thru dec 30

Through the last day of 2017, The Jacksonville International Airport Arts Commission will fill the airport with abstract art, including several paintings by Rob Middleton measuring six feet or larger that have never been exhibited together. Middleton’s works will join those of fellow painter Cynthia Walburn and installation artist Stephanie Cafcules in the Haskell Gallery, located on the upper level before security.

Middleton is pleased to be able to show the largest paintings he has completed to date in a location accessible to a significant audience. And he is doubly excited to be showing in a gallery named for arts patron Preston Haskell, who has recently acquired multiple R Middleton paintings and whose extensive abstract expressionist collection has been a lifelong source of inspiration for the artist.

A reception will be held during the exhibition on Friday, Nov. 17, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Cafcules, Middleton, and Walburn will host a reception inside the gallery.

Haskell Gallery, Jacksonville International Airport, Yankee Clipper Dr., (904) 741-3546.
