Charming one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces, paintings, mosaics and beaded works created by participants at L’Arche Jacksonville’s Rainbow Workshop will be available at Riverside Art Market (RAM) on Saturday, July 28.
With one-hundred and forty-seven communities in thirty-five countries around the world, L’Arche is a non-profit organization providing family-style homes for adults with disabilities. The Jacksonville community includes the off-campus Rainbow Workshop, an occupational workshop. Each day, Monday through Friday, between fifteen and twenty adults learn new art forms, practice techniques, and create beautiful artwork at Rainbow. A wide variety of both useful and decorative pieces are available at the Rainbow Workshop gift shop, and now at RAM, where the group plans to participate on a monthly basis. The booth is run by volunteers and all proceeds help purchase supplies for the Rainbow Workshop.
