Richard A. Salkin is a beach-based freelance writer with a healthy fondness for opera. He serves on the board of Opera Jacksonville, writes for Encore magazine (published by the Jacksonville Symphony), and has appeared in non-singing roles (“Thankfully!” he says) in local productions of La Boheme and Tosca.
