Three Landscape Painters: Realism to Abstraction

Henry Von Genk III, born and raised in Jacksonville, is a self-taught artist who has mastered a realistic style of landscape painting. Ellen Diamond is an artist whose harmonious interconnection of shape, color and light led her to a style that has been heralded by critics and art collectors alike. John Schuyler works in a process of layering, pouring, scraping off, and scratching into the surface of the canvas which asks that the viewer’s attention continually adjusts in order to consider the various perceptual possibilities within the subject.
