Artscapade Comes of Age
Artscapade, the annual event benefitting Patrons of the Hearts (POTH), is celebrating fifteen years of bringing together philanthropy, children’s health institutions, the arts community in all its forms, generous giving friends, knowledgeable teams of physicians and medical staff, business owners, performers, foodies, and grateful families to create a fun celebration that raises funds for POTH.
Stronger Than Stigma’s Living Room
Local 501(c)3 nonprofit Stronger Than Stigma, Inc. is a group of millennials dedicated to mental health advocacy for their generation. Through a grassroots movement, they hope to make the conversation about mental health as comfortable as an exchange between friends and family. Their mission is to use laughter, authentic conversation, and education “so that everyone feels the power of knowing they’re not alone.”
Alexis’ Art Show Dream
What Alexis wants you to know about her is that she is creative and has always dreamed of sharing her creativity by exhibiting her art. Dreams Come True of Jacksonville, The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, and sponsor Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty are making this dream a reality. Alexis will show her work in The Cummer’s Uible Loggia on January 22, 2020.

Creating Jacksonville’s Emerald Necklace
The Emerald Necklace was envisioned by architect Henry Klutho in the early 20th century to describe a series of parks, trails, greenspace and creeks forming a necklace around downtown. It has been just an idea for more than a century, but now the Jacksonville City Council has adopted a plan presented by Groundwork Jacksonville to build the Necklace, renamed the Emerald Trail, within the next ten years.
