Born and raised in Jacksonville, Denise M. Reagan graduated from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and has been an adjunct lecturer there since 2009. Her media career took her to Fort Wayne, Ind., Detroit, Minneapolis, Savannah and Fort Lauderdale before she returned to Jacksonville as an assistant managing editor at The Florida Times-Union. After serving as the editor of Folio Weekly, she took on a new career as director of communications at MOCA Jacksonville.
