Beaches Fine Arts 50th Anniversary Celebrations

Beloved Piano Quartets, February 24

Concert features Mozart’s Piano Quartet #2 in E-flat Major and Brahms’s Piano Quartet #1 in G Minor, performed by four renowned players. Jaime Laredo and Sharon Robinson were part of the Kalichstein Laredo Robinson Trio for over 25 years. Joseph Kalichstein, the pianist, died suddenly last spring, and this concert will be in memory of him. The trio appeared on the series three times. The quartet will also feature Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt, who grew up in Jacksonville, and Anna Polonsky. 7:30 p.m.

Marcus Roberts Trio, March 5

The Marcus Roberts Trio first appeared on the series in 2002 and was the first ensemble to perform an extended residency in public schools for the Beaches Fine Arts Series. Roberts is a Jacksonville native and attended the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind. The trio will perform as part of their residency at 4:00 p.m.
