The Jacksonville Historical Society’s Gingerbread Extravaganza, a local holiday tradition, showcases gingerbread and confectionery creations by amateurs and professionals. Named by Southern Living magazine as “One of the South’s Best Holiday Experiences!”, the event is supported by a grant from the Delores Barr Weaver Forever Event Fund, est. 2015, the Junior League of Jacksonville Sustainers and the Rotary Club of South Jacksonville.
