Art with a Heart in Healthcare Turns 25
For 25 years, Art with a Heart in Healthcare (AWAHIH) has brought personalized fine art experiences to patients and families in Jacksonville hospitals, giving them a meaningful way to express themselves, find comfort, and regain a sense of control during difficult moments.
Join AWAHIH on Saturday, October 24, at the WJCT Studio for a celebratory evening marking a milestone and honoring the more than 150,000 lives touched by this incredible organization. Every ticket and sponsorship helps artists to continue bringing creativity into hospital spaces for patients and families when they need it most. (Read about AWAHIH starting on page 20.)
The Women’s Board
The Women’s Board was founded more than 50 years ago with one simple goal: to raise funds and awareness for Wolfson Children’s Hospital, the only children’s hospital in Northeast Florida. Since their founding, donors like you have helped contribute to countless projects at the hospital, ensuring that every child who walks through those doors receives the best care possible.
Last year, The Women’s Board committed to a new goal: to raise $1.5 million over two years to create an outdoor therapeutic play and healing pavilion for children in the behavioral health unit. This much-needed space will extend therapy outdoors, allowing young patients to benefit from sunshine, movement, and joy in an environment designed for both structured and unstructured play. This project will be transformative in the care and healing journey of children facing behavioral health challenges.
