Imagine a space within hospital walls that feels like freedom—a safe, outdoor haven for healing, creativity, therapy, and play. This is the new environment that The Women’s Board is working with Wolfson Children’s Hospital to create for patients facing behavioral health challenges.
The Women’s Board has committed to raising $1.5 million over two years to support the Behavioral Health Outdoor Therapy Space, including $1 million toward capital improvements and $500,000 for staff. The open area will give patients exposure to natural light, fresh air, and outdoor elements that support recovery through therapies including yoga, art, meditation, music, and recreation.
