Jacksonville International Airport Outdoor Sculpture On Loan Program

The Jacksonville International Airport Arts Commission has developed two new 3D art exhibit spaces located at the north and south entrances to baggage claim at the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX). The artwork shown here will rotate on an annual basis. The pedestals poured and formed for the project by concrete specialist Craig Pedroni can each hold 500 pounds and display works by up to six different sculptors. Currently featured through April 2021 are a suite of original steel sculptures by David Ponsler and three hand-carved granite, limestone, and marble sculptures by Enzo Torcoletti. In January 2021, a national call to artists will be issued to invite artists from across America to participate in JAX’s second annual showing of 3D artists for this area of our airport’s public art program.
