Lost Art Gallery: European Masters

Thru Dec
Lost Art Gallery is excited to present an exhibition and sale of works by European Masters. Two works by Camille Pissarro (1830-1903), the “Father of Impressionism,” will be presented: a wonderful watercolor of haystacks in Eragny, France, as well as a colored drawing from his sketchbook of a lovely maiden hanging laundry. His work is displayed alongside that of his teacher, the master Jean Baptiste Camille Corot (1796-1875). Corot’s oil on canvas painting is of the Seine landscape near Chatou, France.
Also featured on the gallery wall are works by Pissarro’s friends, Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) and Edgar Degas (1834-1917). One etching depicts a couple in a country dance and the other a young ballerina fastening her ballet slippers. Also featured are lithographs by Salvador Dali, Kandinsky and Joan Miró.
