First Street Gallery artist Melinda Bradshaw’s new works of Sailfin Tangs are part of her tropical fish series inspired by her own photography. Working in Photoshop, she combines and layers photographs, creating backgrounds and textures using different filters and processes until she reaches her finished digital painting.
A graduate of the School of Visual Arts at Florida State University, Bradshaw has an artistic background spanning the last forty years. She retired after twenty-five years as a graphic designer, the majority of her years spent in hospital public relations and marketing, with the balance working for local newspapers.
