The Jacksonville Watercolor Society Welcomes Lorraine Watry

January 31 – February 26

The Jacksonville Watercolor Society announces an early Spring Show to be held at the St. Augustine Art Association featuring Lorraine Watry as judge, guest artist at the monthly meeting, and instructor of our three-day workshop.

Lorraine is an award-winning watercolor artist and signature member of the National Watercolor Society, American Women Artists, and several other national and regional associations and societies.

She has worked with watercolor for more than 28 years and is in her 14th year of teaching watercolor classes and workshops. As a Colorado native, she is influenced by wildlife, landscapes, the beautiful blue skies, strong lights, and shadows. “Watercolors hold a fascination for me—the transparency of the paint allows a glow from the white paper, there is always something new to learn, or new to deal with because the water and color often have minds of their own.”
