Penny is an independent journalist who earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Lesley University (Cambridge). She has contributed to the Florida Times-Union, Florida Courier, EBONY.com, Mosaic Magazine, Azure and Amber, and more. She has released a poetry collection titled Lyrical Soul, and a creative journal titled Cancer in the Raw. Penny is a 1995 Leadership Jacksonville graduate, an adjunct professor of English at Florida State College at Jacksonville, and an avid supporter of the arts.
