Tables can be divisive, painful reminders of our exclusion. We can feel lonely as we sit at the outskirts of the table, seeing no one else like us, no one willing to listen. But the table is also a site for radical change, of positive connection, and of shared power.

2019 A Brush with Nature
The Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens (JAG) and First Coast Plein Air Painters will host the 2019 A Brush with Nature plein air painting event at the arboretum on the last weekend in March. Admission is free, with donations to the arboretum encouraged.
St. Johns County Arts and Culture Instagram Campaign
The St. Johns Cultural Council is launching #ShareArtHCC “Art Is ___”, an Instagram-based campaign that asks residents and travelers to submit images of what they view as art and culture in St. Johns County using the hashtag #ShareArtHCC and by tagging @HistoricCoastCulture.

Lian Quan Zhen
“A beautiful painting depicts the harmony between nature and imagination,” says Lian Quan Zhen. Zhen is one of the most sought after watercolor and Chinese painting artists in the US and abroad. The Jacksonville Watercolor Society will host Zhen as a juror for their Spring Show and instructor for a three-day workshop.
